Goal

I have a monetary goal I'm trying to reach by May 31st. I plan on putting in a lot of hours to try and reach it. It's going to be tough because I'm purposely starting with a very small amount (relatively) but I believe the goal is definitely reachable, as long as I put in the work. The purpose of the goal is three-part: 1) to help me mentally prepare for the WSOP 2) to allow me to play the games I want to play 3) to keep me financially grounded so I don't splurge. This means that the majority of my posts for the next two months will be poker related or poker induced. However, I do not plan on writing any monetary amounts simply because I think it's a distraction - although if you really wanted to, you could calculate/guess given the stakes played.

Starting with today..it was somewhat a step back as I played in the 5/5 game at Oceans and played terribly. I'm still up a bit overall from my last two trips but I was definitely disappointed in how I played. I was a loose cannon and did not adapt correctly to the table dynamics. It didn't help that I didn't connect much but still that is no excuse. I tried too pull many bluffs in bad spots, some of them might have worked if I had a better image. Overall, the result wasn't too bad in terms of amount lost, but my level of play was horrendous. I am ashamed. Nothing tilts me more than when I play bad.

My brother is going home tomorrow which means I'll be putting in some hardcore hours for the next three days. Break on Saturday and then either go to Vegas on Sunday or Monday.
