NYC/Boston

Since we went to the East coast for such a long time and I didn't write a day-by-day blog, I'm just going to sum things up.

NYC
We stayed at Korey's who was gracious enough to let us stay for almost a week.

Best thing about NYC: Food options. There is always something open and good quality.
Worst thing about NYC: A-holes who think they deserve tip when I get a $2.38 tea to go.

Since I got the flu the first time around, this time was definitely much more enjoyable. However, I still feel like NYC is not for me. The pace is too fast and people genuinely don't give a crap about you. I personally prefer any big city in Asia over NYC because it's the same efficiency without all the attitude.

Central Park was beautiful when we went. I could not have imagined a more perfect day. The weather was worse a few days earlier and there would be no leaves left a few days later.

Rooftop bars are also pretty impressive and abundant in NYC. We went to two: Mé and 230 5th. Two different styles. Mé was very slow and quiet, just a nice view of the Empire State building. 230 5th was much more Vegasesque but what was cool was they had free snuggies to borrow.

We also went to Statue of Liberty which is cool but going to the crown is way overrated. I think it's cool to go there once (if you can even make it up) but after that never again. Here's a picture of the tablet in her hand from the crown out the window.

Boston
This place is definitely more suited for me. The people are unbelievable nice and helpful here. The transportation is not as efficient as New York and it's a tad bit colder. The food is not as great, but I think the history (even though I'm not a history junkie) and the overall feel more than make up for it.

We went to Harvard which was nice but even the air was pretentious. Everybody was rubbing John Harvard's left foot but what they didn't know was that students at Harvard piss on that thing on a nightly basis. Nice shoe! Here is a reenactment.

We went to Quincy Market which had an awesome Christmas tree set up. Holiday season is the best season!

Also we went to the Boston Common's which is no Central Park but still aesthetically pleasing.

Here is me posing with a thinking frog.

It was a great trip overall, but seven days was more than enough and I'm glad to be back in SD where everything is chilled out!
