Doing Okay

Got through my 3rd session today. It was my first time using guards to set up kicking points for the attacker. It's way more tiring than it looks and requires a lot of bicep endurance.

The conditioning is still tiring but I'm getting through it albeit barely. There were a couple times where I had to take a short break to catch my breath. The hour flew by way faster than last time and the teacher didn't pick on me today.

I really respect some of the people in my class. They are there five days a week and never seem to get worn out. All their kicks and punches generate so much force throughout the class with little fatigue. It's only when the class ends do they start slouching and chugging water. I'd love to be able to adopt whatever mindset they have during class that enables them to keep going.

I bought a set of gloves today that came with wraps and a "free" t-shirt. I don't really know how to use wraps properly but I'll have to learn it in order to keep my gloves from stinking up. It feels like such an accomplishment to have gotten through two classes. The workouts are totally worth the price of membership. And to think I've only been to one type of class. I imagine all the other disciplines are equally hard to get through.
